1. Who we are
SeeMyBacklog is operated by an independent developer (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at velocityapps@protonmail.com.
2. The service
SeeMyBacklog helps you keep a personal list of the games you own, the ones you are playing, and the ones you have finished. It can also import titles from connected platform accounts, show catalog estimates, track upcoming releases, and display statistics about your library.
The service is available at seemybacklog.com. Some features need an account, a platform connection, or a paid plan.
3. Accounts
You can use a guest library without an account. A guest library stays in that browser. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account.
You must give accurate information and be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
4. Free and paid plans
The free plan holds up to 15 games in Queue and up to 15 games in Playing. Completed is not capped. The cap limits new additions; it does not delete games you already have.
Monthly and Yearly are paid plans with the same benefits: no ads, cloud sync on unlimited devices and browsers, no library cap, and cancellation at any time. Features and limits are described in the app before you subscribe.
5. Billing and renewal
Paid plans are sold as recurring subscriptions. Paddle acts as merchant of record and processes the payment, tax and receipt. The price, currency and tax shown at checkout are the amount you agree to pay.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal. We do not store your card details.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel from Account & data in the app. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you already paid for.
Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how refunds are handled. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for unlawful activity or to infringe someone else’s rights;
- attempt to access another person’s account or data;
- interfere with the service, its servers, or its security measures;
- scrape, overload, or automate access in a way that harms the service; or
- resell or redistribute the service without our permission.
We may suspend or remove access if these rules are broken or if we must do so to protect the service or other people.
8. Third-party services and game data
Imports can use Steam, Xbox and PlayStation services. Payments use Paddle. The app also uses game catalog and cover-art providers. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies.
Game titles, cover art, platform names and trademarks belong to their owners. SeeMyBacklog is not affiliated with Valve, Microsoft, Sony, or any game publisher. Catalog details and playtime estimates can be incomplete or inaccurate.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the reviews, notes and screenshots you add. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you.
Do not upload content you do not have the right to share. You are responsible for what you add.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may change, suspend or retire features, and we may perform maintenance.
If we make a material change that affects a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that catalog data, release dates or playtime estimates are accurate.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost goodwill. Our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
13. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account from Account & data. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription; cancel it first or from your Paddle receipt.
We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Where the law requires, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to export your data.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The new version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. If a change materially affects a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
